A 10-SESSION CRIME PREVENTION & INTERVENTION PROGRAMME
REAL CONVERSATIONS. REAL CONSEQUENCES. BETTER CHOICES.
If I can share what I've lived, and it stops one of you from making the same mistake, then it's worth it..

Before It's Too Late is a highly engaging, classroom-based 10-session programme designed to give young people something many don't get until it's too late: knowledge of the risks, understanding of the consequences and the confidence to make a different choice.
Created and delivered by Adz Khan, the programme combines lived experience, real stories, practical activities and open discussion to explore the realities behind crime, the criminal justice system and the impact on individuals, families and communities.
THIS ISN'T ABOUT SCARE TACTICS — IT'S ABOUT FACTS, REALITY AND A BRIGHTER FUTURE.
How seemingly small decisions can have life-changing consequences. Exploring risk, influence, the impact on victims, families and communities, and Adz's own story.
The reality behind the image. Why people carry knives, gang culture, loyalty, reputation, retaliation, social media and how to resist pressure and walk away.
What joint enterprise means, how people become involved, real cases and the serious consequences — even if you didn't carry a weapon or commit the act.
The world of drugs, dealing, county lines, exploitation and how young people can be groomed and trapped. Understanding the signs and how to get help.
How substances affect judgement, reactions, coordination and behaviour. Exploring vulnerability, lowered inhibitions and how situations can escalate.
What spiking is, how it happens, recognising the signs, looking after yourself and others, consent and what to do if you or a friend is at risk.
From arrest to police custody, investigation, court, conviction, sentencing and criminal records. What really happens at each stage and the long-term impact.
The reality of losing your freedom. Life inside, prison routines, relationships, mental health, the impact on family and what a sentence really costs — both during and after.
Understanding emotions, triggers, anger, fear, pride and impulsivity. Practical strategies for self-control, de-escalation and building resilience in challenging situations.
Taking responsibility, breaking cycles, changing your mindset, education, employability, support networks and creating a personal plan for a safer,
brighter future.
I learned about consequences after my life had already changed. This programme exists so young people understand them before theirs does.
